Privacy policy
Short version: we collect as little as a working site allows, we never sell data, and you can delete your account yourself.
What we collect
- Account data — email, display name, password hash. Optional: username, bio, avatar.
- Activity — favourites, follows, reviews, ratings, requests and votes you create.
- Technical — a hashed, non-reversible visitor identifier (from IP + browser) used for rate limiting, download de-duplication, one-vote-per-visitor ratings and moderation (a keyed hash of the IP is kept with reviews, reports and your last sign-in so abusive accounts or guests can be blocked). Raw IP addresses are not stored.
- Reports & contact — the email you choose to provide and the message content.
Cookies
mk_session (sign-in, httpOnly, 30 days) and mk_s (a flag telling the browser a session exists). Ad providers, when enabled, may set their own cookies under their policies.
Transactional only: verification, password reset, and update alerts for mods you follow (switchable in account settings). No newsletters unless you opt in.
Third parties
Hosting (Cloudflare), database (MongoDB Atlas), image CDN (Cloudinary), bot protection (Cloudflare Turnstile) and, where enabled, an ad network. Download links lead to external file hosts with their own policies.
Your rights
Export or delete everything from Account → Settings. For anything else, email modkick.official@gmail.com. Requests are answered within 30 days.
Children
MODKICK is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
